We’re preparing for National Volunteer Month in April! Join us as we talk about ideas on how to recognize (and motivate) volunteers. As Volunteer Coordinators, we all know that volunteer motivation is key to success.
Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018
11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Kaplan University | 1821 K Street
Georgann Roth, Community Action Partnership Volunteer Coordinator, will discuss why understanding volunteer motivation is crucial to the engagement process and different ways to learn about your volunteers and how they’re motivated so you can develop tasks and events to increase their interest in volunteering with your organization. She’ll also lead our discussion about successful recognition activities. Bring info about what you’ve done and your ideas for new activities to engage young professionals and youth.
Georgann has been with Community Action for 6 years and enjoys learning about volunteerism in our community. She has an Advertising degree from UNL and has received her Certification in Volunteer Administration in 2015. She oversees the volunteer program for Community Action’s 17 programs and was recently named Foster Grandparent Program Director. She has served on the VolunteerLinc Board of Directors since 2014.
Thanks to our host Kaplan University. Join us for the optional tour at 12:30 pm.
